Black Bear Hunting In BC Canada

Record book bears have been shot in this area in the recent past. Our spring bear hunts are conducted in a variety of ways, depending on what you desire. We offer 2 on 1 or 1 on 1 "spot and stalk" hunts as well as hunts using hounds. To access our vast area we use 4x4 and ATVs.

Our bears range in color. Most of the bears are black, some are brown, cinnamon, and the odd blond.

These hunts are conducted beginning around April 25th and right through to June 15th.

Last year the average bear was 6'7" with the largest being 7'4" .The spring before the average was 6'6" with the largest being 8'1" Most clients take their bears home for which no permits are needed if this is done within 30 days of the kill. Hunts start by flying in to Vancouver on a Saturday, staying overnight there, then hunters are picked up Sunday Morning and we begin hunting Sunday evening right through until the next Saturday night if necessary ,making the hunt about 6.5 days of actual hunting .

Hunting Rates

6 day black bear (May 1 – June 15)

2 on 1 - $2,500 US
1 on 1 - $2,950 US
Trophy fee for a second bear – $1,000 US (only if harvested)

Rates Include:

Trips will originate and terminate in Vancouver, BC. Price includes every part of your hunt except licenses, room and board in Vancouver (excluding hunt days), taxidermists fee and possibly a pick up/drop off fee of $150 US. Non hunting companions will be charged $150 US per day.

Terms of Payment

Hunts are confirmed upon 50% deposit. The balance can be paid on arrival by cash, travelers checks, or certified check.
No personal checks will be accepted.

Cancellations

Deposits are not refundable should a hunt be cancelled.
