On a late season hunt in
the Yukon, Ken Wilson and Joel Wilkinson each shoot record book caribou
north of Watson Lake with Ceaser Lake Outiftters. Living in a trapper's
cabin and accessing the mountains by snowmobiles, outfitter Terry
Wilkinson and guide Joel Wilkinson use spotting scopes to score bulls at
long distance before closing the gap, first by machine and then by foot,
so Wilson, their last client of the season, can shoot an excellent bull.
With time still remaining in the season, Wilson's guide, Joel, has time to
look over several good bulls before shooting a heavy-horned one.
Then, on an early season
hunt in the North Territories with NWT Outfitters, all of the spectacular
footage from the video: Hunting Dall Sheep and Caribou in the NWT is
shown. First, Bob Hartman and his guide, Jeremiah, wait for several groups
of Dall sheep to bed down before crawling into shooting position for a
long, continuous sequence that shows an 11 year old ram hit three times
before rolling down a shale mountainside into a drainage.
Finally, Pete Etchechoury
follows his guide, Doc, into the middle of a group of five mountain
caribou bulls and shoots the biggest one on camera. You'll feel like you're
part of this spectacular hunting adventure in the remote, but beautiful,
Yukon and NWT.
