Volume III Marine Corps Sniping continues
the ground work laid by Volume I and Volume II, and attempts to tell the stories, history,
and weaponry of USMC Snipers. This book discusses many aspects of sniping that the writers
both like and do not like. These aspects are elaborated on and discussed in detail. For
example, variable power telescopic sights such as the 10x. We also delve into fringe
subjects a bit more than some might appreciate. Confirmed kills during recent conflicts
sometimes make the politically correct a bit twitchy. We do not share that unease. A Scout
Sniper's successes should be proudly acknowledged. Volume III is a reference work . It is
solid material that is certainly more than just a collection of guns and scopes. This book
is written for USMC Snipers and for those who may some day command Snipers. We also wish
the less initiated to understand the value of Snipers (they can and have turned battles.),
and to appreciate the world of the finest warrior marksmen ever trained-- The United
States Marine Corps Scout Snipers. |
